Mammoth Beer is a microbrewery in Hackney East London. They make small batches of beer that aim to draw the attention of your senses. Their beers are always bold and novel, always evolving and changing, moving with our tastes and inspirations. They don’t tie our beer to a constructed idea of a style, instead we simply aim to make something enjoyable. They are a locally minded company run and owned by Londoners, making beer that we love. We fell in love with Mammoth on our first visit to their taproom in Leytonstone.
Primordial is a highly sessionable 4% hoppy pale ale with a bright and fruity aroma that gives way to a crisp and light body. Brewed with Norweigan super yeast Voss Kveik, the Simcoe and Citra hop character is supported by bready and stone fruit esters from the yeast. The addition of dextrin malt and flaked oats give the beer a body to balance the bitterness whilst retaining a lightness that inspires another sip. Primordial is unfiltered with a natural haze (meaning it is suitable for vegans) and best enjoyed when stored cold and drunk as fresh as possible.
