What's in the bottle?

Our 'Essex Lemoncello' is a beautiful marriage of when Essex meets Sicily (that old classic eh!). 

Marco from the fantastic Italian Supermarket on the same estate as us was kind enough to share the base for his mothers home-made Limoncello recipe. Now, not being Italian nor based on an island bathed in sunshine we decided to make a few tweaks: 

- We use our highly regarded 'Essex spring vodka' as the base 

- We then hand zest fresh citrus in each bottle, leaving it to sit & infuse

- We add a few secret ingredients (it wouldn't be a family recipe without a few secrets) 

- Finally we add sugar and a final maceration with Italian lemon peels 

This creates a beautifully balanced liqueur with huge citrus notes and a balanced sweetness. Perfect before or after dinner.
